Shirley Syiek's Molasses Bran Muffins

1 1/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

3 tsp. baking powder

1/4 cup sugar or honey

11/4 cup milk

11/2 cup All Bran

1 egg

1/3 cup shortening or oil

1/2 cup raisins

1/4 cup molasses

Stir together flour, baking powder, soda, salt & sugar. Set aside. Combine bran, milk, raisins, molasses in a separate bowl. Let stand 1 or 2 mins. Add egg & shortening. Beat well.

Add dry ingredients to cereal mixture stirring only until combined. Portion batter evenly into 12 greased 2 1/2 in. muffin cups.

Bake at 375 about 15-20 mins. or until golden brown.
