Kefta


This is a recipe from Allan's Childhood memories

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground lamb (or mixed with beef equally)

  • 1 finely chopped onion

  • 1 tsp allspice

  • 1/2 tsp sumac (optional)

  • 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

  • 1 Tablespoon fresh mint minced

  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice (optional)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ground pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven or Grill to 425 degrees.

  2. Mix all the ingredients into a bowl.

  3. Cut mixture into 8 equal pieces.

  4. Form into burger or around a skewer for kebabs

  5. Cook for 15-18 minutes or until cooked through.

Notes:

These freeze well and can go straight to the grill for 8 min each side.
